Privacy Policy
Effective date: 29 August 2025
Quick summary: HaulWeigh connects to a truck-mounted server via Bluetooth to read sensor data and show weight information. Calibration profiles are saved on your device and, when you sign in or enable sync, in Firebase. We request Bluetooth and (on Android) Location permissions solely to discover and connect to the truck hardware. We do not sell your data.

What this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect when you use the App, why we collect it, how we use it, how it’s stored, and the choices and rights available to you. It also makes clear that by using the App you accept the above disclaimer regarding liability.
Data we collect
1) From the truck hardware
- Weight sensor readings and derived values (e.g., axle/total weight).
- Calibration inputs and resulting calibration profiles.
- Truck identifiers provided by you (e.g., truck name, fleet ID) and device IDs emitted by the truck server.
2) From your device
- Bluetooth-related identifiers necessary to discover and connect to the truck server (e.g., advertising identifiers/UUIDs exposed by the OS). We do not collect or store hardware MAC addresses.
- Device and app information (model, OS version, app version, language, time zone).
- Diagnostic and log information (connection status, error codes, performance metrics).
3) Location (Android)
On Android, the operating system requires the Location permission for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) scans. We use this solely to enable Bluetooth discovery and connection. We do not collect, store, or track your GPS location.
4) Account & sync (optional)
If you sign in or enable cloud sync, we process:
- Firebase user ID and basic account info you provide (e.g., email).
- Calibration profiles, truck profiles, and related metadata that you choose to sync.
